Describe the business need
Explain the work that needs to improve and why it matters. Avoid starting with a course title alone. Share enough context for the learning provider to understand the challenge.
Understand the participants
Describe roles, current experience, language needs and likely differences in confidence. This helps shape the appropriate level, examples and learning support.
Agree practical outcomes
Choose outcomes that participants can demonstrate through an activity, project or relevant work sample. Decide what meaningful progress would look like without promising that training alone will deliver a business result.
Plan for participation
Consider delivery format, scheduling, equipment and time to practise. Identify who will support participants before and after the sessions.
Review together
Agree how you will review participant feedback and assessed work. Use that discussion to decide whether further support or learning is needed.
